Every Wolfix charge — your first subscription, each renewal, and any prorated plan change — produces a receipt you can download and a record your finance team can reconcile. Billing runs on Stripe, so your receipts and invoices carry standard tax fields, including a company name and tax ID when you add one. This article covers where those documents live and how to get the right details onto them.
Where your receipts live
There are two places a receipt shows up, and which one you reach for depends on whether you want a quick PDF or a full history.
Billing settings
Settings → Billing lists every charge on your workspace with its date, amount, and a download link for each receipt. This is the fastest route to a single PDF.
Stripe receipt emails
Stripe emails a receipt to your billing address after each successful charge. The email links to a hosted receipt and invoice you can open or download any time.
Plan changes
A mid-cycle upgrade is prorated and generates its own receipt, separate from your regular renewal. Both appear in the billing history.
Failed charges
A failed payment does not produce a receipt. Once the retry succeeds, the receipt for the successful charge appears as usual.
To download a single receipt, open Settings → Billing, find the charge in the history, and use its download link. The file is a PDF that includes the amount, date, plan, and any tax details on file at the time of the charge.
How tax IDs work
Wolfix uses Stripe to put your company details on invoices. A tax ID — a VAT number in the EU, a GST number elsewhere, or your local equivalent — is stored once and then applied automatically to future invoices. Adding it does not change what you're charged; it changes what's printed on the document so your finance team can reconcile it.
To add or update one, open Settings → Billing and edit your billing details. Enter your company name and tax ID, and save. From the next charge onward, both appear on your receipts and invoices.
A tax ID applies going forward, not retroactively
Stripe stamps tax details onto an invoice at the moment of the charge. Adding your tax ID updates future invoices — it does not rewrite receipts that were already issued. Add it before your next renewal so the right details are captured from the start.
Add your tax ID before your first paid charge
If you can, set your company name and tax ID right after you upgrade and before the first charge clears. That way every Wolfix invoice carries the correct details from day one and you avoid asking finance to chase a corrected document.
Getting a corrected document
If a charge was issued before you added your company name or tax ID, the cleanest fix is forward-looking: add the details now so future invoices are correct. For a past charge that finance needs reissued with the new details, contact support with the charge date and amount and the corrected company information, and Wolfix will sort it out through Stripe.
